Note: I paid for all trips out of my own pocket, so this is a completely honest review.

Now let’s dive into the adventure!

Waterpark Overview

Previously known as the Cartoon Network Waterpark, the Columbia Pictures Aquaverse was famous for its cartoon-themed attractions featuring characters like the Power Puff Girls and Ben 10.

Recently, it rebranded under the Columbia Pictures theme, I was eager to see how it held up against my fond memories.

Operating hours are from 10AM to 6PM daily.

Although some areas show signs of wear, especially the bathrooms, the overall maintenance is decent. The fun parts on attractions are still there.

The park features seven main zones: Hotel Transylvania, Ghostbusters, Jumanji, ZombieLand, Megawave zone, Surf’s Up, and Hollywood Square.

You can cover all zones comfortably in half a day, but a full day is ideal if you want to experience everything without rushing.

Attractions Breakdown

1. Hotel Transylvania Zone

This zone is perfect for young children with its water town setup. There are multiple slides of varying heights and it’s a hotspot for cute photos.

2. Ghostbusters Zone

This zone offers thrilling rides for older kids and adults:

The “Slimer Speed Racer” has a dramatic drop at the end.

The “Proton Stream” features a large circular tube that can accommodate 2-3 people. To access this attraction, you’ll need to pick up a queue card from the Jumanji zone.

3. Jumanji Zone

An adventure-themed water zone where you can slide through a jungle setting, from the mouths of snakes and hippos on a two-person tube.

4. ZombieLand Zone

My personal favorite, this chill zone lets you float on a tube amidst gently whirling waters, offering a more relaxed pace. This zone is perfect for young children.

5. Megawave Zone

This zone is like a movie theater set amidst the waves, giving the illusion that you’re watching a film in the middle of the sea.

It’s my favorite zone and perfect for those who enjoy a laid-back vibe.

The best time to visit this zone is after 4:30 PM when the sun isn’t as intense.

Every 20 minutes, the park activates the Mega Wave feature, creating giant waves that make you feel like you’re floating in the open sea.

There’s also a fun mix of bubbles and water sprays just like Songkran Water Festival.

6. Surf’s Up Zone

This area is themed around Penguin Surf and features the Surf House for adults. It was quite the adventure trying my hand at surfing here. I admit, I fell off the board within the first two seconds! However, some guests were able to stay on much longer and even ride several times in a row.

For those interested in practicing surfing, I recommend visiting this zone in the evening when it’s less crowded. Fewer people means shorter queues!

7. Hollywood Square

A show zone where kids can interact with characters and enjoy performances.

It’s close to food and beverage areas. The food here are very pricey while outside food and drinks are not permitted.

8. Go Cart Zone “Bad Boys”

A fun addition where you can race go-carts. A great activity if you’re spending the whole day and want a break from the water.

Tickets and Tips

How to Have Fun at Columbia Pictures Aquaverse Waterpark, Pattaya. Ticket Price. 1,690 THB. Special Price. 990 THB

Tickets at the gate are pricey

  • (Adult 13+) 1,690 THB per person
  • (Child 3-12, Senior 65+) 1,490 THB per person

I bought them online through Klook where the price went as low as 990 THB. (This is the best price I found so far)

Preparation Tips

  • Swimsuit: I wore a full-body swimsuit to protect against the strong sun. You can find affordable options at stores like Supersport in Central Rayong.
  • Shower Supplies: Bring your own soap and shampoo. Consider bringing a hotel towel to avoid rental fees, though you can rent one with a locker if you prefer.
  • Footwear: Wear sandals to protect your feet from the hot ground.
  • Waterproof Phone Case: If you like capturing moments, a waterproof case for your phone is a must, unless you plan to store your mobile phone in a locker.
  • Wristband: Remember to preload your wristband QR code for easy purchases inside the park.
