Let’s jump into exploring some of Phuket’s yummiest spots together!

1. Go Benz (Michelin Guide)

Best Crispy Pork & Rice Porridge in Phuket

The Go Benz porridge shop has been here for more than 20 years, loved for its special pork rice porridge with a peppery broth, and yummy noodle soup.

Don’t miss out on the crispy pork dipped in sweet soy sauce.

This restaurant gets really busy around 6pm, so from my own experience, showing up a bit earlier at 5:30pm can make a big difference.

What to order:

  • Pork Rice Porridge (ข้าวต้มแห้ง) $2 (70 Baht)
  • Crispy Pork (หมูกรอบ) $2.8 (100 Baht)

Opening Hours: 5.30pm – 1am

“Tu Kab Khao” means “Cabinet of Delicacies”. The restaurant located in Old Town Phuket.

It’s in a pretty building with a mix of Chinese and Portuguese design.

The restaurant also have live music every night from 7:00 to 8:00 PM and then again from 8:30 to 9:30 PM, so there’s always a fun vibe.

It’s the perfect place to hang out no matter if you’re with just a few friends or in a big group.

Come on by and see for yourself!

3. Torry’s Ice Cream (Cafe)

Authentic Thai Ice-cream flavors in the Old Town Phuket

Torry's ice cream, Phuket Cafe, Thailand

Torry’s Ice Cream is a premium homemade ice cream shop in the heart of Rommanee Alley, located on Thalang Road in Phuket’s Old Town.

This old building used to be an English pamphlet printing office called “Art and Culture,” which collected art stories from Phuket for over 10 years.

The place stands out with its pink pastel Sino-Portuguese architecture, making you feel like you’re strolling through a beautiful blend of Eastern and Western culture.

What to order:

  • Bi-Co-Moi: A butterfly pea coconut ice cream paired with the taste of ‘Biko Moy,’ a native Phuket black sticky rice dessert: $3 (95 Baht)
  • My favorite ice-cream flavor is ‘Sweet Fish Sauce’. It might sounds weird but trust me it’s really good.

Opening Hours: 10am – 6pm (I wish they open until late)

Get Ho Dim Sum, Phuket, Thailand

It’s a cool spot with yummy, fresh steamed dim sum like kanom jeen, khao yam, and mee sua that everyone loves.

They have tons of choices in the cooler. Just grab a table, pick your favorites from the cooler, and take them to the counter. They’ll steam them right up for you.

Fun fact: I found this place a very good option for breakfast. I went there after my morning run.

5. Rawai Seafood Market

Most Unique Experience on Seafood Dish DIY

The Rawai Seafood Market is a famous spot for finding fresh and tasty seafood.

Located at Rawai Beach, the street is lined with fresh squid, shrimp, clams, crabs, and fish in all sizes.

Tourists can pick whatever they like to have it cooked at one of the nearby restaurants, which then charge a cooking fee.

Restaurants at Rawai Beach usually charge based on weight. The staff will weigh your fresh picks, and then you tell them what dishes you want and how many.

For example, cooking half a kilogram into one dish might cost 75 Baht, one kilogram into one dish might be 100 Baht.

As a local, I still find visiting the Rawai Seafood Market a blast, diving into the heart of the fishermen community!
